Iraq headed for Civil War

A leaked classified assessment of the situation in Iraq is bleak. The three possible scenarios for the situation in Iraq reportedly laid out by the National Intelligence Estimate can be summed up as tenuous, bad and downright ugly.

The report is clearly at odds with the optimistic assessment the President, George W. Bush, has been putting during his campaign speeches, and today it prompted the Democratic challenger, Senator John Kerry, to accuse President Bush of dishonesty over Iraq.

In another report showing Bush was wrong and mislead the American People, the senior weapons inspector in Iraq concludes that Iraq did not have any WMD and only had only small research and development programs for chemical and biological weapons.

No wonder Bush has lost his 11 point bounce in a little over a week.
