September Fourth Worst Month for US Troops

With three days left to go in the month of September 74 US Soldiers have been killed in Iraq's escalating violence. There have only been three worse months for casualties since the beginning of the 19 month war and two of those were after President Bush declared "major combat operations" over.

While the Bush administration tries to put a happy face on the situation there, most experts recognize a failure of the planning and strategy provided by the neo-cons that run the administrations foreign policy.

The war in Iraq is starting to be the primary factor most voters are considering when choosing our next President. As the architect (or at least administrator) of this failed war, Mr. Bush is responsible for the deteriorating situation and it is affecting him negatively as is evidenced by his drop in the polls.
